From a Pulse Open press release
Pulse Open is excited to be back for their second season! Their 2012 production, Obsessed, will take on a darker persona that explores the nature of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
Pulse World’s designers, John Mapes and Ian Grom, will once again be creating the musical score for this show. Robert Bowen will also be continuing his design role as the drill writer for the ensemble.
“We wanted to do a 180 from last year’s uplifting concept, and I think the creepier vibe of the score we created is going to do just that. An array of unique soundscapes and colors are going to help give Pulse Open a distinct voice in their division.” - Ian Grom, front ensemble arranger
Pulse Open was founded in 2010 and is under the direction of Joe Enriquez and Executive Director Chris Doolittle. Pulse Open was the 2011 WGI PIO Bronze Medalist.
Pulse would like to thank Yamaha, Vic Firth, Remo, Zildjian, Creative Costuming, Sticktape.com and Box-Six.com for all of their support!
