WGI continues its “Day After” series this season with the exciting events on the Sundays following Color Guard and Percussion World Championships. Contemporary choreographer Sonya Tayeh will conduct a master class on the floor of UD Arena for 500 performers on Sunday, April 11th at 10AM. There is still time to sign up to experience a class led by one of the leaders in contemporary dance working today.
This extraordinary session will be open to the public. General admission tickets are available for $10 by clicking here and will be available when the doors open at 8:30 AM. If you’ve ever wondered what a master class with an artist who works at the top level of dance, this is your chance to sneak a look behind the scenes and watch dancers experience Ms. Tayeh’s physically demanding routines.
Join four-time world snare drum champion Jeff Queen as WGI introduces its “Day After” educational series to the WGI Percussion World Championships on Sunday, April 18 at 10AM at the Trent Arena in Dayton, Ohio. This FREE educational session is a fitting finale that focuses performers on improving their skills for the their next WGI experience and is open to the public!
Come rock at the Trent Arena and learn from one of the best in the business when Jeff presents "Next Level Rudimental Drumming Techniques". Learn his secrets on ways to play faster, various tricks, proper practice techniques, audition preparation and solo construction. Also, drawing from his time with the Broadway Show, BLAST!, Jeff will cover ways to become a better and more confident performer.

These “Day After” sessions will shift the focus from the heat of competition from the World Championships the previous night, back to an educational approach to the “Sport of the Arts”.
