Their pink all flag moment was one of the defining moments of the program, and was truly out of this world.
Scholastic World
1st Place- 88.60 Flanagan High School (Pembroke Pines, FL) performing their program “Atlas Shrugged” This color guard always brings excitement and dedication to every program, and this year is no different. From the moment they pick up their first piece of equipment, the performers grab your attention and you are hooked! Their use of the primary colors to depict the “Prime Mover” symbolism as talked about in Ayn Rind’s work. Their all flag moment is nothing less than great, but it’s the ending moment that had Flanagan the talk of the weekend, and the reason why this group remains one of Scholastic World’s favorites!
2nd Place 86.80 –Choctawhatchee High School (Fort Walton Beach, FL) performed their jazzy and crowd pleasing program “Besame Mucho” From beginning to end they had the crowd snapping their fingers, tapping their toes, and clapping their hands. If entertainment was the goal for these young ladies, then they can surely put a huge check mark by that task. Job well done!
3rd Place 84.20 - Seminole High School (Seminole, FL) performed their program “The Expansion Project” These young ladies were one of the strongest on any equipment in this class. Some of the highlights were the sabre moment in the left hand corner of the floor and their movement opening movement

Independent World
1st Place 92.40 Northeast Independent (Jacksonville, FL) performed their program “Ruthless Gravity” From the first note of the music, they had the audience intertwined into their show. Their death defying rifle toss with girls lying beneath them and various sabre tricks proved that NEI wasn’t messing around, and the message was heard loud and clear! Keep your eye out for all the tricks that would make anyone in the audience say “WOW, How did they do that” All we can say is “Gravity” is Northeast Independent’s best friend! Can’t wait to see them again in Dayton!

4th Place 83.60 Premonition (Ft Lauderdale, FL) performed their program “Obsessed” This show was about various obsessive-compulsive disorders, and it quite evident throughout the program. The performers are full energy from the start to finish. The highlight is the all flag on the moves that seems to never let down.
5th Place 81.40 Fahrenheit (Orlando, FL) performed their program “P.S. I Love You” has taken from the movie of the same title. With voiceovers from the movie, I don’t think there was a dry eye in the gym. This group held on to the concept, and portrayed it as if you were watching the movie live. The music was cover of Unchained Melody, which had another level of emotions as you think of the movie “Ghost”, but it was the ending flag that sealed the deal for the group!
