2013 Season Kick Off!

The first weekend of WGI Regional events is here! Color guards and percussion ensembles are setting their sites on Austin, TX, Pittsburgh, PA, San Jose, CA, and Troy, MI. Months of preparation are about to pay off as groups step on to the floor for the performances they’ve been waiting for.

Keep your eye on WGI.org this weekend for scores as they come in. You’ll find three new buttons on our home page for quick access to the info you need! These will take you directly to “Schedules” for all of the regional events, “Scores” which will be updated as the events happen, and “World Championships” which will provide you with all the details you need to plan your trip to Dayton, Ohio this April.

The 36th WGI season is certainly shaping up to make history with a record number of entries at regionals and World Championships! Currently 310 color guards and an all-time high of 206 percussion ensembles will vie for the title of “World Champion” in Dayton, Ohio, on April 11-13 and 18-20.  Groups from the United States, Canada, Japan, England, Netherlands and Thailand plan on traveling to the World Championships making this the most international event in the organization’s history!
