SOUTHGATE ANDERSON HIGH SCHOOL BAND OFFICE

The following position is open in the Southgate Community School District for the 2025 season:

TITLE:  Color Guard Director

Southgate Anderson is a Class A/Flight III high school with an enrollment of approximately 1000 students in grades 9-12. Southgate Anderson High School is a member of the Michigan Competing Bands Association and the Michigan Color Guard Circuit. A full range of academic and performing arts programs are offered for middle school as well as high school students.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Color Guard instructional experience at the high school level or above.

2. Experience with performance-based visual design and technique.

3. Coursework or professional development in color guard, dance, or visual performance preferred.

4. Preference will be given to a person who possesses a valid teaching certificate and is qualified to fill current or future teaching positions available in the Southgate Community School District.

5. A combination of the above qualifications as the Superintendent or designee may find appropriate and acceptable.

SALARY:
The successful candidate’s compensation will be commensurate with experience.
