Washington High School in Fremont, CA, is looking for a percussion coach to assist with their marching band and concert band programs. Band camp will be July 27th-31st, and then marching band rehearsals will occur from 7:30-8:20am Monday through Friday. The band competes on the NCBA circuit, which hosts competitions on Saturdays from September to November. While attendance at every rehearsal is not required, we are looking for someone who can reliably attend at least three mornings a week and most Saturday events. After-school sectionals may be requested depending on need and time.

Duties include preparing warm-ups and other performance materials, rehearsing music, addressing technique and other performance issues, writing drill for the street percussion competitions, maintaining and repairing percussion equipment, and other duties as needed.

The hourly rate is $48.47, and is paid through the Fremont Unified School District as part of their Proposition 28 funds.
