Brian Murphy

Captions WGI Colorguard Design Analysis
Bio Brian Murphy has been judging for WGI as an Design Analysis judge since the 2004 season. He brings a vast background of color guard experience to his judging. Brian was the designer for St. Ann’s Color Guard from 1991 thru 2015, during which time St. Ann’s garnered 11 WGI medals. Under Brian’s leadership, St. Ann’s became a role model for guards and proved that a guard can begin in the A class and be promoted through the ranks and then be able to compete at the highest level of competition in the World Class. In addition, the organization also created a model that brought A, Open, and World guards, all in a given year, to the WGI scene, and all of whom achieved success in their own right. Brian's home circuit is NESBA and he also judges in numerous other local circuits as time permits. Outside of the pageantry activities, Brian lives in Boston Massachusetts and works as a Business Transformation/IT specialist for the IBM Corporation.
