Ira Jenkins is currently the director of bands at Alpharetta High School in Georgia. Mr. Jenkins completed his undergraduate degree in music education at Florida A&M University and Georgia State University. He holds a masters degree in educational leadership from Kennesaw State University and an educational specialist degree in music education from the University of Georgia. He has served as an assistant marching band director, visual caption head, color guard caption head, and directed/instructed numerous scholastic and independent winter guard programs on the east coast. Teams he has worked with have been circuit medalists as well as WGI Regional and World Championship finalists. His performance experience includes Carolina Crown, Atlanta CV, Ballethnic Dance Company, and Bravo Independent.
Since 2002 Ira has been an adjudicator for numerous marching band/winter guard circuits, and he is currently an adjudicator for Drum Corps International. |
