Bio
Brian Murphy has been judging for WGI as an Ensemble Analysis judge since the 2004 season. He brings a vast background of color guard experience to his judging. Brian was the designer for St. Ann’s Color Guard from 1991 thru 2004, during which time St. Ann’s garnered 10 WGI medals. Under Brian’s leadership, St. Ann’s became a role model for guards and proved that a guard can begin in the A class and be promoted through the ranks and then be able to compete at the highest level of competition in the World Class. In addition, the organization also created a model that brought A, Open, and World guards, all in a given year, to the WGI scene, and all of whom achieved success in their own right. Brian also has roots in the DCI activity. He serves as co-program coordinator and as visual designer for the Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps. Outside of the pageantry activities, Brian lives in Boston Massachusetts and works as a Business Transformation/IT specialist for IBM Corporation.
