Bio
For over thirty years, Michael Higbe has been involved in the winter guard activity as instructor, designer, and judge. His experience includes Orange Park High School, Ancient City Ensemble, and St. Augustine High School. He has served on the Florida Bandmasters Adjudication Committee as chairman of the Twirling and Auxiliaries Committee. Mike has been a judge for WGI for over ten years, an adjudicator for over twenty years in the Florida Federation of Colorguards Circuit, and served seven years as its Chief Judge. Mike has been on the Board of the FFCC since 1989 and currently serves as President of that organization. He is also a member of the FFCC Hall of Fame.
Mike is a ceramic artist in residence at Wild Ginger Studios in Green Cove Springs, Florida. He has his degree from Florida State College at Jacksonville with emphasis in ceramics. He lives with his wife Julia in Orange Park, Florida where they own an art gallery and custom framing business.
