Bio
Tim Landess began his judging career in 2003 and became a WGI judge in 2007. He is a member of The Gulf Coast Judges Association, Florida Federaton of Judges and the TriState Judges Association. Since 2003 he has judged winter guard and marching band contests throughout the country. He is often contacted for state and regional championship events and also judges for Bands Of America. Tim served as a Visual Designer/Color Guard Director for winter guards and marching bands across Indiana for nearly two decades. His units were perennial state and national marching band finalists in the Indiana State School Music Association and Bands of America Regional and Grand Nationals competitions. In winter guard he has produced WGI finalists and Indiana High School Color Guard Association finalists and champions. Among the many schools he was worked for are: Lawrence North High School, Guard Director/Visual Caption Head, Lawrence Central High School Guard Director/Visual Assistant, Yorktown High School Guard Director and Taylor High School, Guard Technician. As a performer he marched with the DCI finalist 1989 Madison Scouts and the 1988 Bluecoats. Tim is very proud to be currently serving on the Board of Directors for The Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps.

Tim is the founder, president and CEO of Advantage Billing & Consultants, Inc. This cost report/billing company, geared towards long term care facilities, currently employs 9 staff members and maintains national clients. He is a sought after lecturer and trainer in this field and frequently works with facilities and their staff members across the U.S. Tim lives in Indianapolis, Indiana with his two beagles Sadie and Ella.
