***For Immediate Release***

AUSTIN, Texas:  Announcing the inauguration of Invictus, an Independent World Class Color Guard from Austin, Texas competing in the Winter Guard International (WGI) 2017 season.  Invictus World, Inc., a non-profit corporation pending 501(c)3, is thrilled to unveil Invictus winter guard as its premier performance ensemble.

“There is a void for the advanced color guard performer in the Austin area once they move on from their high school and college programs,” says Secretary of the Board, Kelsey Murphy-Bishop, “and Invictus will provide these students with the performance and competitive opportunities that they have grown to love.”

Invictus promises its members a design staff led by the incomparable Andy Mroczek, and an instructional staff with decades of experience, with the renowned Tracy Wooton at the helm.

“We are excited to be able to offer Austin’s first World Class Color Guard; this project has been years in the making!” says Executive Director, Tracy Wooton.

Open auditions for Invictus, including a color guard clinic, will be held in September and are open to dancers and color guard performers looking to join the 2017 cast, as well as those looking for a fun, educational opportunity.
