Penn State Indoor Drumline Announces Their Inactive Status in 2016

From a Penn State Indoor Drumline Press Release:

With heavy hearts we are officially announcing that Penn State Indoor Drumline (PSUid) will be inactive for the 2015-2016 season. We will take this time to develop more significant and reliable streams of revenue in order to build a stronger operational foundation. This decision, although difficult, will ensure the group’s longevity. We would like to note that the creative team, the instructional staff, and the members have been exceptional as of late. PSUid has been fueled by their sheer will and tenacity over the last 3 seasons. This is a true testament of their characters and we could never thank those individuals enough for their efforts.

Newly appointed director Trevor Calabro states, “This decision has been one of the most emotionally-challenging ones I have ever been faced with. With that said, it is clearly the best option for us at this time. We strategically chose the word “inactive” to describe our status in order to clearly articulate our commitment in bringing this group back to WGI once our finances are stable. The administrative board and I are committed to setting PSUid up for success in the future. We would like to thank our alumni, members, and supporters for sticking by us as we navigate the complicated world of contemporary independent percussion ensembles. Thanks to everyone who has contributed to the groups pass successes and be on the lookout for us in the near future.”
