Soddy-Daisy High School Winter Guard (Chattanooga, Tennesse) proudly presents their 2019 program, “Man on a Wire.”
The performance tells the story of tightrope walker Philippe Petit’s daring, but illegal, high-wire routine between New York City’s World Trade Center’s twin towers in 1974—what some consider “the artistic crime of the century.”
Soddy-Daisy High School Winter Guard is made up of 15 performers under the direction of Cody Thompson, with assistance from Joshua Light and Coleen Pruitt. Show design and staging is by Tyler Edrington, and Choreography and Technical Staff include Molly Favret, Christopher McCarthy, Jeleesa Levy, Zane Franco and Thomas Funk. Flag, uniform and show graphic were designed by Molly Favret, with prop design by Paragon Printing; uniform construction by Creative Costuming & Designs; and flag construction by Field and Floor FX.
Soddy-Daisy High School Winter Guard will perform locally in the Southern Association of Performance Arts (SAPA) circuit and nationally at the WGI Knoxville Regional and WGI Atlanta Regional. They are pleased to conclude their season at the 2019 WGI World Championships in Dayton, Ohio.
2019 will mark the first time in over a decade that the Soddy-Daisy High School Winter Guard will return to the National Stage! #wgi2019
