WGI Chief Operations Officer, Bart Woodley, was selected to receive the Community Ambassador Award at the annual Destination Dayton Celebration on May 15.
All award recipients were presented with an official leather flight jacket and recognized for the powerful impact and role that their events play in shaping the local economy and strengthening the community each year.
“We are proud to recognize our 2026 Community Ambassador Award winners—five outstanding
meeting planners whose events generated nearly $36.7 million in direct spending in our
community last year,” said Destination Dayton President & CEO John Oney. “That level of impact is not only measurable, it’s transformational for our local economy and a testament to the power of partnership.”
As Dayton and Montgomery County’s destination marketing organization, Destination Dayton
