Group’s Primary, Secondary, and Financial contacts can register for events via the Director’s Dashboard. 

• • Scholastic groups must have their Band Director’s name and email completed in the Dashboard under “Details”
  • Independent groups must have an Independent Management Contact name and email address listed in the Dashboard under “Details”
  • Groups with outstanding balances will be unable to register

Please call the WGI office to inquire if all three above are complete and you still do not have access to registration.

WGI offers two types of in-person events: Regional Events and Regional+ Events. All classes are eligible to attend both Regional and Regional+ events.

Regional+ events feature a double panel of judges for all finals performances.

Regional A groups’ prelims and finals performances will take place on Saturdays, even at 2 day events.  Please note: Regional A groups will not be permitted to join the waitlist of an event with no Regional A entries

Per WGI Policy (6.1 Fees), all registration fees are non-refundable.  Once a group registers for an event, they immediately assume responsibility for all associated fees.

With event registration, each group automatically receives participant wristbands for the number of marching members plus ten extras for directors, staff, chaperones, etc. 

A PLUS Pass provides additional seven (7) participant wristbands to groups beyond what is included in registration. For additional information about participant wristbands and PLUS Pass click here.

PLUS Passes are ONLY available to purchase at the time of registration and groups may only purchase one PLUS Pass per event.

• Regional Event PLUS Pass – $150/event
• World Championships PLUS Pass – $325

• • If your school or district requires an estimate to begin the purchase order acquisition process, please complete an estimate request form.  
  • Uploading an invalid or incomplete PO during registration will void the group’s entry.
  • Scholastic groups using purchase orders must register by December 1.  After this date, credit card will be the only method of payment available.

• Regional prelims performance times are based on postmark date.
• The WGI office will merge all Tier 1 entry dates to ensure all groups have access to the best prelims performance times.  Groups registering for Tier 1 will receive the same postmark date of day one of Tier 2 for that Division:
  • Color Guard Tier 1 groups will receive the postmark date of October 1st.
  • Percussion and Winds Tier 1 groups will receive the postmark date of October 5th.
