WGI welcomes back the Latin American Championships, which took place this past weekend, May 23-24, in Heredia, Costa Rica. 14 groups from five different countries competed in the two-day event at the Palacio de los Deportes. Congratulations to all of the incredible participants from this past weekend!

WHO:
Competing groups across all three divisions from Brazil, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Puerto Rico, and Mexico celebrated an incredible season with stellar performances! Scores from the event can be found HERE.
Following the competition, an educational clinic was held for all of the participants to continue learning from educators, adjudicators, and designers in the activity!
WHERE:
The event took place at the Palacio de los Deportes in the Heredia Province of Heredia, Costa Rica. The city’s mayor even made an appearance to collect a certificate of appreciation from WGI for their support in hosting this event!
WHEN:
The event took place this past weekend on May 23-24. This is the first time the event has taken place since the COVID-19 pandemic, and it was a major success!
