McKinney North High School is seeking a highly qualified Percussion Director to lead the percussion program for the McKinney North High School Cluster, which includes Cockrill Middle School, Scott Johnson Middle School, and McKinney North High School.

The ideal candidate is energetic, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting all aspects of the band program within a team-teaching philosophy. They should possess a high level of instrumental and ensemble pedagogy and demonstrate the ability to develop a comprehensive and engaging percussion curriculum.

The Percussion Director will oversee all aspects of the percussion program across the cluster, ensuring continuity and excellence at all levels. At McKinney North HS, the band program currently includes the marching band, 3 concert ensembles, 2 jazz  ensembles, and a Varisty Winterguard. The McKinney North High School band program thrives on a strong staff presence at our middle school feeder programs.

The McKinney North Marching Band  is a competitive marching band that is looking to continue their success in the UIL and BOA realms.

The administration and community are both extremely supportive of the Fine Arts. McKinney has been named one of the “Best Communities for Music Education” by the NAMM foundation nine times. The City of McKinney is a family-friendly community that is located thirty miles north of downtown Dallas in the dynamic growth area of northeast Collin County.
