Board of Directors

A total of 15 group representatives elected by Advisory Boards, depending on the percentage of participating groups at world championships. For 2026, the breakdown was:

• 358 Color Guard (54%) = 8 BOD seats

• 257 Percussion (39%) = 6 BOD seats

• 49 Winds (7%) = 1 BOD seat

Up to four (4) at-large seats may be appointed by group representatives

Advisory Boards

Each Advisory Board shall be composed of one representative from each Independent World and Scholastic World finalists and the top five (5) finalists from all other classes of competition at the preceding world championships for the term of one (1) year.  For groups from outside North America, the term shall be two (2) years.
