2027 marks the 50th anniversary of Winter Guard International. 50 years of excellence, 50 years of artistry, and 50 years of community. To kick off this historic World Championships, we are producing an opening ceremony unlike anything the activity has ever seen, and we want your staff and performers to be there to witness it.

On Wednesday of each week, we aim to fill the University of Dayton Arena with every competing member of that year’s World Championships. Imagine the energy of a full house, united in a ceremony to celebrate five decades of the Sport of the Arts. This once-in-a-lifetime experience allows groups competing in Dayton to take part in WGI History at no additional cost to your organization!

Formal confirmation for this event will take place when you register for World Championships, but we need to get a preliminary gauge on attendance to assist us in the planning process.
