Color Guard Director

Klein High School has an immediate opening for a Color Guard Director. Klein High School is in Spring, TX (suburb north of Houston) and is a part of the Klein Independent School District.

The Klein band is an established and growing band program. Klein ISD is a great supporter of all of the Fine Arts programs. The Klein Color Guard is set to field 36 – 40 members this Fall. This past Winter Guard season there were two guards in the Texas Color Guard Circuit. One in the Novice division and one in Scholastic AA, finishing in the top five of the State Championship Finals. Klein is a great community and this is a great opportunity to grow a program in a positive and forward moving district.

This is a Full Time position.

Teaching responsibilities include:

• Two class periods a day (Monday – Friday) in the afternoon throughout the school year
• After school marching band rehearsals (8hrs per week)
• Several Saturday rehearsals and contests through the Fall
• Junior Varsity and a Varsity Winter Guard in the Spring Semester
• Recruit and Audition in the Spring

The salary includes full Klein ISD benefits and participation in the Texas Retirement System.
