Staff Opening – Marching Percussion Caption Head – Chantilly High School

The Chantilly Band is seeking applicants for our Marching Percussion Caption Head/Lead Instructor role for the 2026-27 school year. This person will be responsible for collaborating with the Band Directors to lead all aspects of the fall and winter percussion seasons.  Chantilly HS is located in Western Fairfax County, about 40 minutes west of Washington DC and 10 minutes south of Dulles International Airport.

The marching ensembles at CHS carry a strong tradition of excellence and competitive success in the VMBC, BOA, USBands, AIA, and WGI circuits. This position requires someone with a strong teaching/performance background in percussion and the marching arts (WGI, DCI, or commensurate experience) whose passion and commitment will ensure a high-quality experience. We are seeking someone who is ready to join a community that is focused on fostering a positive/team-oriented program culture that motivates and inspires students. This person must be a clear and effective communicator, provide a consistent instructional presence at after school practices and performances, and be able to interact  with staff, students, and families in a positive and professional manner.
