Fenton High School is seeking a guard Instructor for the marching band season.   This is a school staff- sponsor position whose stipend is paid by the school district.  The stipend for this position is based on the extra duty article of the teaching contract.  Interested candidates must possess the following skills:

Ability to write/teach flag, rifle, and body work
Ability to clean routine and guard drill
Attend rehearsals and performances of the color guard & marching band
Coordinate tryouts in the spring
Possess great leadership/teaching/communication skills
Other information:

The FHS Color Guard is a semi-competitive group that rehearses one – two days a week outside of the marching band rehearsal.  There are no Winter Guard responsibilities
We perform at all home games, a band festival, 2-3 competitions,and local parades
The color guard performs with the Marching Band during the marching band season, Memorial Day Parade, and 4th of July Parade.  Experience is preferred but not required
