WGI Sport of the Arts is proud to announce the launch of WGI Studio, a new learning management platform designed to meet the diverse needs of the indoor marching arts community. WGI Studio will be the home of the Participant Protection Practice (3P) series!
The 3P Series will include custom-built educational courses designed to establish a strong foundation in safety, ethical behavior, and preventive practices across the WGI community. These courses will replace the use of SafeSport and reflect WGI’s continued investment in the safety and protection of all participants.
“While outside vendors such as SafeSport provided a solid foundation to develop our initial participant protection efforts, we quickly realized the importance of offering information and experiences that were directly informed by the unique realities of our activity,” said Dr. Will Frankenberger, Director of Participant Protection.
Whether it’s a seasoned judge, a first-year director, or a new staff member, WGI Studio will make learning accessible, impactful, and innovative for each learner. The platform enables users to engage in self-paced learning at their convenience, whenever and wherever it works best for them. The system is built with the learner in mind and designed to support them.
“This new platform gives us the freedom and the support to pioneer new initiatives in the realm of participant protection and marching arts education,” said WGI CEO Ron Nankervis. “As we continue to grow, WGI Studio will grow with us, and we look forward to showing you what this versatile platform has to offer the WGI community.”
